Cool and contemporary, the Dados is a real current affair. It sits in spacious green grounds and is spot on for chilling out, as well as getting in on all the local action. In fact, it's in quite an envious setting. On the one hand, you're just a stone's throw from the sparkling Golden Beach and all the cosmopolitan buzz of Laganas. And on the other, when you choose to kick back and shake off your stresses, you've got a laid-back base where you can take it easy. So you really do get the best of both worlds. Another big plus point at this Dados is that it's fairly dinky in the hotel world. It has just 37 rooms, which means you're not treated as a room number but with special care and attention by the friendly staff. And the spacious rooms will put a smile on your face, too. The rooms at Dados are bright and modern while those within the annex block are traditionally fitted out. In fact they're the splendid place to retreat after a hard day's holidaying. Even the lobby goes all out to impress with its sleek marble floors and coffee and cream leather sofas. Outside, you can really get down with the all-important business – soaking up the Greek sunshine. So grab a drink from the snack bar, shake out your towel on one of the bright-blue sun beds and kick back. And when the going gets hot, make a beeline for the sparkling pool. This is the life.

Laganas becomes bigger and livelier each year. There's a massive sandy bay and a one mile strip of bars, clubs and food joints at the last count. The beach at Laganas reaches the sister resorts of Lithakia at the western end of the beach and Kalamaki to the East. Behind the golden sands lie pubs and eating places, so taking lunch or an all day breakfast needn't interrupt your sunseeking schedule. This totally encapsulates the style of of a holiday in Laganas, lazy days just chillin after the night before, a relaxing drink at a beach bar and then the night commences once more at the Strip. The real action commences after the sun falls below the horizon. This is when the Laganas party atmosphere kicks off. Mainly young revellers start occupying the restaurants, bars and nightclubs in central Laganas en masse. The selection of restaurants in Laganas is amazingly varied, everything from fast food to Italian, Chinese, Indian and even a rare Taverna. Popular watering holes and nightclubs include Rescues nightclub, Geezers Club, the classic Ghetto Club, Must Sports Bar and Bad Boys Cocktail Bar. The list of bars and clubs is virtually endless. You will find it impossible to do them all on a weeks holiday. Those looking at a holiday in Laganas Zakynthos will probably not be thinking about an early night in with a good book!.

Laganas beach is an important breeding location for protected rare Loggerhead turtles (Caretta-Caretta). Loggerheads come ashore on certain nights to lay and bury eggs in holes they dug in the beach. Watersports are virtually limited in this bay to provide a safer environment for the Loggerheads. The bay of Laganas has 3 islands the most well known of which is Marothonisi. This island has a stunning secluded beach and this is another important nursery location for the Loggerheads. Oddly enough, Marathonesi is shaped like a turtle and is frequently named as Turtle Island. Marathonisi is completely uninhabited though it can be visited via boat tours which run from Laganas and also from Zante Town. Agios Sostis is a extremely small islet accessible via a boardwalk. Agios Sostis features a tiny beach plus it is the venue for one of the clubs. The 3rd island is known as Pelouzo to be seen on the northern side of Laganas bay.

Dados Annex is in Laganas which is easily the biggest and most happening resort in Zakynthos (aka Zante) and has loads of watering holes, nightclubs and tavernas. Laganas is one of the most popular partying places on the Med and is a magnet for mainly young Brits. Laganas's holiday season kicks off in April and goes on right through to October. When you stay at Dados Annex, its pretty difficult to consider that only a couple of decades ago that Laganas was just a small greek hamlet and today it has become the largest and liveliest resort on the island. If you take a holiday at Dados Annex you would certainly expect quite a lively holiday. Holidays to Laganas are regularly featured on great late deals, so there is a real possibility of finding an amazing bargain holiday to Dados Annex.
